Cylinder block:
Cast-welded steel , removable wet-type cylinder liners of hardened cast iron.
Cylinder heads:
Unit alloy cast iron cylinder with double bottom decks, water directors and removable injectors. Valve seats are replaceable corrosion-resistant insets.
Pistons:
Thin-walled nodular iron, steel-crowned combined aluminum-skirted or steel-crowned combined iron-skirted.
Fuel system:
Unit multi-hole type injector and plunger pumps on all models of the director injection type. With mechanical or electronic fuel system, camshaft-actuated fuel injections provide accurate metering and timing.
Aspiration:
All models utilise turbochargers and intercoolers.
Lubrication:
Large-capacity gear pump provides pressure lubrication to all bearings and oil supply for piston cooling, replaceable full-flow filters and water-cooled oil coolers.
Cooling system:
Gear-driven centrifugal water pump. Large-volume water passages provide even flow of coolant around cylinder liners, valves and injectors.
