The DES-S7E electric locomotive is developed to meet the needs of speed acceleration in passenger transportation. With better dynamic performance on the maximum speed of 170 km/h, it plays a pioneer in the fifth railway acceleration.
The main circuit is three-stage asymmetric phase controlled bridge. Auxiliary converter adopt IGBT component. Micro-computer is used for the control of locomotive. The bogie equipped six-rod hollow shaft and single-side spur-tooth drive. Power supplemental braking characteristic ensure big brake force in low speed.
The locomotive features high performance in tractive and braking power, higher coefficient of adhesion, stable starting-up, quick acceleration, reliable operation, good working condition in driver¡¯s cab, less air pollution and easy maintenance.
Modular structure is applied in new design. It is better for reduce repairing and running expense.
