The DES-25T family is a new product range used in Chinese Railways’ fifth speed acceleration in April 2004. Capable of operating at up to 160 km/h, it is the latest in a series of designs first built in 1992.

Car-body adopted integrated support tubular structure without center sill. Brake system adopted disc brake, electronic anti-skid device and 104 integrated electro-pneumatic brake unit. Air condition system adopted environment protection aluminum foil compound conduct to ensure static pressure and static sound. Electric system adopted AC 380V composite with DC 600V power supply.
